In relationship/dating speak, alpha refers to a person with assertive and dominant traits.

"I won't deny it, I like younger men," said Kisti who last year split from her fiance that was about six years her junior.

"Not because I want to lead them, but because every woman needs a man. But like I said, I'm an alpha female. So, of course, you want young blood. When a man is above 18, he is not young anymore."

They introduced each other to their parents in November 2021 and they had planned to get married last year.

At the end of their relationship, Asiimwe said she had stopped listening to her though he claimed the age difference wasn't an issue.

"It's not about age... a person just changes. When you are a good person, some people take your kindness for weakness. That woman couldn't listen to whatever I was saying,... she even abuses you when you try to advise her," he said.

Despite calling herself Alpha, Asiimwe said he was the one taking most of the family's financial burden.

"Even the business she's involved in now, I gave her startup capital. I don't want to explain myself a lot, I have done a lot for her. Honestly, speaking, if I was,... you can't stay with a single mother of three children, without a job and you don't give her money?" he said.

"The rentals from which she collects Shs450,000, I make that in one day, and she wanted to be like me to spend it in a day. So, that's her other problem, competition... I'm not saying she is a bad person, she won't show you love, but love that's selfish... if, say, you don't come home early, she'll abuse you or make the home climate unbearable."

Kisti joins the likes of Zari Hassan that have been forced to explain themselves to social media because of their dating choices.
