Bobi Wine: Solomon introduced Alien Skin to me

Bobi Wine said it was his son Solomon Kampala who introduced the singer Alien Skin to him.

Wine was responding to a media question that sought to know whether he uses TikTok. He cited his knowledge of the Sitya Danger hitmaker as an example.

"My children signed me up on TikTok. My daughter, Shalom [Namagembe Kyagulanyi]," Wine, real name Robert Kyagulanyi, said when he was asked about TikTok.

"Solomon is the one who introduced Alien Skin to me... It's my children who show me some of these things."

The Ragga Mu Seketu crooner endeared himself to music lovers after dropping Tonkaka and Sitya Danger, which were among the top songs of 2022.

Because of his unconventional style, Alien Skin has earned a huge following among disaffected young people. The older people that ardently follow the music industry drama had also been pining for an eccentric figure that always has something to look forward to.

Then there is also a group that loves and disagrees with him in equal measure.

Some observers have noted that despite being talented, he needs to shed off some of his habits, including a disheveled dress code, taking drugs in public, and projecting a persona that would instigate a fight on a whim.

While releasing his list at the start of this year, Bebe Cool noted, while taking a dig at King Saha: "Unfortunately, artists like you negatively inspire upcoming talents to think it’s okay to promote and abuse drugs. For example, upcoming artist ALIEN SKIN who has good songs like 'SITYA DANGER & TONKAKA' are learning bad ways from people like you. He has on several occasions appeared on stage and videod smoking."

Wine recently said: "We all used to take drugs. I'd get ‘smashed’... but it's important to know that you are in the spotlight and there are so many who look up to you, so you may mislead them... so it's good to be in an inspiration."

Alien Skin started singing in 2017 as an underground rapper in the ghetto but began dropping jams regularly in 2019.

His single titled Tulabise, which was released in 2021, played a big role in spotlighting him after it was embraced by TikTokers as they danced and sang to it.
