Video: Alien Skin changes drip following Olaxes Ismail’s taunts

Musician Alien Skin put on a blazer in a show of a change in style following attacks from social commentators and music industry experts that he needs to revamp his wardrobe if he wants people to start taking him seriously.

The singer, whose trademark style had become shorts and tank tops, came under criticism after observers noted that he is rapidly becoming a household name yet he dresses like a homeless person.

He moves while chewing herbs, his teeth are yellow but this is wrong. You are a talented man from the ghetto who can make it but you are branding yourself poorly. I want to advise Alien Skin, I love your songs but brush your teeth, dress well, and stop moving while chewing grass. You can elevate yourself," social commentator Olaxes Ismail, aka Jaja Kalevu Ichuli, advised him recently.

“Improve yourself as fast as possible and fit in the right frame of a presentable artist. I think you are very talented but you are misguided. Branding yourself well is a very important thing.”

The Ragga Mu Seketu crooner endeared himself to music lovers after dropping Tonkaka and Sitya Danger, which were among the top songs of 2022 and earned him a spot on Bebe Cool's controversial list.

He started singing in 2017 as an underground rapper in the ghetto but began dropping jams regularly in 2019.

His single titled Tulabise, which was released in 2021, played a big role in spotlighting him after it was embraced by TikTokers as they danced and sang to it.
