<h1>Kenya Police has apologised to the Chinese Government for arresting Chinese workers at China Global Television Network (CGTN) on Wednesday.</h1>

The arrest happened when President Uhuru Kenyatta was attending an important meeting to strengthen trade ties with China President Xi Jinping in Beijing.

“The raid on Chinese state-owned broadcaster was based on false information and we sincerely apologise for the mishap, and those detained were released.” Police spokesman Charles Owino told Reuters.

The apology comes days after China warned that it would send a protest letter to the Kenyan Government.

The Chinese Foreign ministry, through its spokesperson Hua Chunying during a daily news briefing in Beijing, accused the Kenyan police of arresting the Chinese workers illegally.

China has since accepted the apology saying that Kenya’s crack down on illegal immigrants does not only target China.

“According to what we understand, this action by Kenyan police is part of move on a crackdown on illegal immigration and is neither aimed at nor limited to Chinese citizens.” Hua said.

Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV, Joho said that he would be eyeing for the top seat under Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) ticket, taking over from Raila Odinga who is the party chairman.

“I want to be the president of this country come next general election because am the deputy party leader of ODM, the party which is influential in the country and that’s what gives me the drive towards wanting to be president,” said Joho.

The Mombasa Governor said that his party leader had not told him not to vie for the presidency in favour of anyone in the party, adding that should Raila opt to also vie, then they would sit down and come up with a solution.

“My party leader has not told me not to run, and I know democracy has many dimensions and am sure Raila stands for his word when he said he will retire from politics, and should he change mind then we will sit down and talk”

On his tour to Baringo County, in Kapsabet to visit retired President Daniel Moi, Joho said that he went to appreciate Moi for the work he had done for the country.

Joho added that he was also seeking to extend his friendship and unite all Kenyans across the country.

"I must go beyond the coastal region and talk to other Kenyans and it is my interest is to walk and talk with influential people in the country like Gideon Moi," he said.

<h1>The Law Society of Kenya on Wednesday, moved to court to sue</h1>

The move comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta’s failure to appoint Warsame to the Judicial Service Commission, a move that has caused jitters in the judiciary.

In July, the high court cleared path for Justice Warsame’s appointment after deliberations that the National Assembly did not have a role to play in his appointment as a commissioner.

Justice Enock Mwita had agreed with the appointment indicating that Judge Warsame had been elected by his peers.

“Subjecting persons duly elected by peers as required by the law approval by the National Assembly will not only expose them to ridicule, possible political patronage and horse-trading, but would defeat the spirit of the Constitution” ruled Mwita

This is the second attempt by LSK will be trying to compel the executive to appoint the Judge as they have opted to seek the court’s intervention.

<h1>Former Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale has told off Members of Parliament to be realistic about the impeachment of National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich terming the move as escapism.</h1>

The Deputy Leader of Ford Kenya said this during an interview on NTV where he added that the MPs should stop generating more heat than light on impeaching CS Rotich urging them to instead focus on who was behind the tax levy.

“The time to impeach Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich was when he mismanaged the sugar importation problems, but on this one, it is bigger than Rotich. President is the one who should be impeached” said Khalwale.

His sentiments were echoed by Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot who said that the MPs were not genuine with the impeachment motion of Treasury CS.

“This idea of impeaching Rotich, people are not being genuine in their concerns. Because this is the only budget we did not have a parliamentary group meeting before passing it compared to previous ones when we could go through them,” Cheruiyot added.

A section of Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) party MPs on September 2, put Rotich on a 72-hour notice to scrap the new fuel levy. They were led by Mathare MP Anthony Oluoch who threatened to impeach Rotich would he fail to rescind the new fuel levy.

“We are invoking our sovereignty now under article 1 of the constitution saying that if you do not withdraw this directive, we will mobilize people, demonstrate and will institute proceedings for your removal,” stated Oluoch

Kajiado County in collaboration with National Hospital Insurance fund put up the auction of goats and sheep to enable Kajiado residents benefit from NHIF programme.

Each goat or sheep was entitled to one year insurance.

Na mimi mtu yake ya mkono nanunua mbuzi mia saba, hio ni shilingi milioni tano” said Ruto. Loosely translated (my boss Uhuru Kenyatta has got a huge family to feed and has told me to buy him 700 equivalent to 5million and I am also buying 700 goats at a cost of Ksh5 million)

The function was to see more than 5,000 families from Kajiado County benefit from NHIF programme where the market price of a goat will save every individual from the burden of hospital bills.

It was headed by Kajiado County Governor Moses Ole Lenku, who also bought 100 goats at a cost of Ksh750,000 whereas Kenya Commercial Bank dished out cheques of Ksh100,000 for 10 goats.

The function is indistinguishable to the one held in the County on May 12 this year, where Governor Lenku wanted residents to sacrifice one goat a year to insure themselves against diseases.

“It takes Ksh 6,000to cover two parents and all their children. This can be realised by selling one goat every year” Lenku stated.

<h1>In the wake of outrage by Kenyans following the recent hiking of fuel prices, Embakasi East member of parliament Babu Owino on Wednesday penned a letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta and urged him to consider the struggling Kenyans.</h1>

On his Facebook account, the MP urged the president to ascent to the amended finance bill 2018 on the 16 percent Value Added Tax terming it as illegal.

“we have seen the Treasury Secretary Henry Rotich purport to implement an illegal tax on the people of Kenya no doubt to finance our growing debt obligation.

“I do not hesitate to call the tax illegal because parliament voted to amend the finance bill and suspend the implementation of the proposed 16 percent VAT on fuel,” part of the statement read.

The letter comes after a deep outcry by middle class Kenyans who have since accused the government for continuing to make life difficult.

According to Owino in his letter, the president’s recent witnessed trips to the U.S and  currently in China, purges the country into huge debts.

“It was public that your government is borrowing the sum equivalent of Ksh450 billion for the construction of a 6 lane highway from Mombasa to Nairobi. I further note that in your visit to china, your government has taken a further Ksh 380 billion in debt for the construction of phase 2A of Standard Gauge Railway from Naivasha to Kisumu.

“I make this request as a father to a fellow father for the sake of our children and children’s children let us find innovative ways to reduce public expenditure and wastage instead of raiding pockets of common wananchi” Owino stated.

When asked if their kid was the only reason she would get married to the singer, Mobetto claimed that there must be also an understanding; one being Diamond should be ready to raise all their kids without discrimination.

When pressed to answer if anything had been going on between her and the singer apart from them co-parenting, Mobetto refused to answer saying that it was private.

Hamisa Mobetto has another child Miss Fancy with Majizzo while Diamond has two kids with Zari Hassan; Nillian and Tiffah.

Mobetto’s affair with the Iyena singer is what made the couple to separate with Zari going back to South Africa.
