Ndugwa, a vastly experienced striker contract with BUL FC is set to expire January 25th this year having signed to the club on a one-year deal last year. According to sources privy to the striker, his employers have struggled to convince the proven marksman to extend his contract.

The Uganda Cup champions have reportedly presented improved offers on three occasions but Ndugwa kept the club guessing.

Now, sources say Kitende based side Vipers Sports Club are highly fancied to secure his signature before the end of this month.

Ndugwa has featured for various clubs in the Uganda Premier League and in the region including AFC Leopards in Kenya and Horseed SC in Somalia. He has also featured for Victors SC, SC Villa, Onduparaka, Mbarara City, Express, URA and Wakiso Giants.

The lanky striker has transformed over the years becoming one of the finest forwards in the local league. He inspired BUL FC to their maiden title last season beating Vipers in a shock win in the Uganda Cup finale winning 3-1.

He has so far bagged five goals for BUL FC this season placing him two goals below leading goalscorers Fred Amaku and Nelson Senkatuka who have seven goals each.

The signing of Karim Ndugwa would be a great addition to the Vipers offensive artillery ahead of the CAF Champions League. Following the departure of goal machine Cesar Lobi Manzoki to China, Vipers have struggled in front of goal in the first half of the season.

The Venoms will face Horoya AC (Guinea), Simba SC (Tanzania) and Raja Casablanca (Morocco) in the CAF Champions group stages slated to kick off later this month.

In the local league, the Venoms are two points off the summit in third place with 27 points which they jointly hold with BUL FC who are in second place with better goal advantage.
