Promoted clubs and team participation

This season introduced promoted clubs Nec FC, Kitara FC, and the returning Mbarara City to the top flight. Teams from various regions, including Masindi, Jinja, Arua, Kampala, and Wakiso, participated. SC Villa hosted their home games at Wankulukuku, the home of their rivals Express FC.
