The Speaker is turning 50 this November.
Hon Among just returned from Italy, where she met Pope Francis for the second time in just under one year.
During last week’s meeting on Friday, August 25, the Speaker told Pope Francis about her pregnancy, according to a leaked video that has been spreading fast on social media.
“I am also pregnant, I want you to bless my baby,” Speaker Among can be heard in the video beseeching His Holiness through an interpreter.

Pope Francis then proceeds to bless her with a sign of the cross on her visibly bulging belly.

Pope Francis thereafter, asks the Speaker to deliver a congratulatory message to Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni on his 50th marriage anniversary milestone.
Born in November 1973 in modern-day Bukedea District, Speaker Among quickly short threw political ranks over the past decade, rising from a little-known opposition FDC mobiliser to House Speaker.
Among recently introduced her new husband and fellow MP Moses Hassim Magogo to her parents in a traditional marriage ceremony.
She has one known child with Patrick Baguma Atenyi, an FDC official.
