Enock Joel Mubiru is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from Makerere University’s College of Natural Sciences, achieving an impressive Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.91.

Reports indicate that Mubiru plans to pursue a Master of Science and a PhD in Mathematics. Currently, he works as an Operations Analyst at Xeno Investment and provides online mathematics tutoring to students.

Expressing gratitude on X, Mubiru wrote:"I thank God for this achievement! This is the result of hard work, consistency, and blessings from God. Thank you, God!"

The Office of the Academic Registrar at Makerere University has announced that the institution’s 75th graduation ceremony will take place from January 13 - 17.

Over five days, thousands of students from various colleges and schools will receive degrees and diplomas in recognition of their academic achievements. Each day of the event is dedicated to specific colleges or schools, as outlined below:

  • Monday, January 13: Graduands from the College of Education and External Studies (CEES), the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CoCIS), the College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Bio-Security (CoVAB), and the School of Law (SoL) will graduate.

  • Tuesday, January 14: The College of Natural Sciences (CoNAS), the College of Health Sciences (CHS), and the College of Business and Management Sciences (CoBAMS) will celebrate their graduands.

  • Wednesday, January 15: The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES), the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHUSS) will take the stage.

  • Thursday, January 16: Makerere University Business School (MUBS) graduands from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, the Faculty of Business Administration, the Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Languages, and the Faculty of Marketing and International Business will graduate.

  • Friday, January 17: MUBS will conclude the week with graduands from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, the Faculty of Management, the Faculty of Commerce, and the Faculty of Procurement and Logistics Management.

Notably, this year’s ceremony marks a departure from tradition, with MUBS graduands receiving two days of recognition during the week-long event.

Ahead of the ceremony, Makerere University has already begun issuing transcripts to graduands, streamlining the process and ensuring students receive their academic records promptly.
