The 12th edition of the Kabaka Birthday Run is scheduled for Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Lubiri Palace in Kampala.

This annual event, which is sponsored by Airtel Uganda, not only celebrates the birthday of His Majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II but also serves as a significant platform to raise awareness and funds in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

The theme for this year's run is "Men for Good Health to Save the Girl Child," emphasizing the importance of men's involvement in health initiatives.

Register and obtain your running kit

Secure your participation by registering and collecting your running kit. The kits are available for UGX 20,000 at Airtel service centers, including those on Ben Kiwanuka Street, Thobani Centre, Wampewo Avenue, Forest Mall, and Majestic Brand offices in Bulange.

Alternatively, you can dial 1855*5# via Airtel Money to register and collect your kit at Airtel's Wampewo shop.

Health and safety

  • Stay hydrated: Drink ample water before, during, and after the run to maintain optimal hydration levels.

  • Nutrition: Consume a balanced meal 2-3 hours before the race, focusing on carbohydrates for energy, moderate proteins, and low fats.
