In Kampala, World Whisky Day to be celebrated with exclusive dining experience

On Saturday, May 17, Uganda Breweries Ltd will mark World Whisky Day in style, celebrating heritage, craftsmanship, and culture with their single malt whisky brand, The Singleton.

The event, hosted at Hiro Restaurant in Kololo, will offer an exclusive fine dining experience as part of The Singleton’s “Savour the Single Moments” campaign, which runs for three months.

Guests will enjoy an immersive evening of whisky pairings with a curated menu, designed to highlight the perfectly balanced flavours of Singleton whisky alongside a variety of gourmet dishes.

This event is the first of a series of premium gastronomic experiences to take place at top-tier restaurants across Kampala from May to July.

The “Savour the Single Moments” campaign is designed to bring together food lovers and whisky enthusiasts, offering them an opportunity to explore new flavours and culinary combinations.

Kyokunda explained, “Fine dining in this context is about intention, craft, and connection. It’s about discovering how a rich Singleton 12 pairs with spiced duck breast, or how Singleton 15 enhances citrus-glazed salmon.”

The campaign will introduce foodies, whisky lovers, and curious connoisseurs to the magic that occurs when fine dining meets whisky. Over the coming months, the series will spotlight talented chefs and explore unique themes, offering guests a fresh and exciting experience each time.
