Grace recently shared her emotional journey of how she stopped her husband from marrying a second wife. In a heartfelt post on a Kenyan social media platform, she narrated how she uncovered his secret affair and fought to save her marriage.

"Hata mimi mzee wangu karibu aoe bibi mwingine,” Grace began.

She recalled that while washing clothes one day, she found an earring in her husband's pocket. When she confronted him, his explanation did not convince her.

The meeting took place at State House in Nakasero

"I asked him about the earring, but the explanation he gave me didn’t satisfy me. Wanaume hata ukiwapata juu lazima wajitetee," she said, implying that men always find a way to defend themselves when caught.

Though suspicious, she chose to stay quiet and observe his behaviour.

Days later, James bought a new phone. That evening, Grace asked why he needed another phone when his old one was still functional. His response shocked her.

"I wanted to keep special contacts only because there are people I don’t want to interact with," James told her.

At first, she dismissed the concern. However, she noticed that whenever James was outside their compound, the new phone was switched on, but when he was home, it remained off. Her curiosity grew, and she decided to act. One morning, she asked him to switch on the phone, pretending she needed a contact.

When he hesitated, she threatened to break it. Left with no choice, James turned the phone on, and what she saw shattered her.

Immediately after switching it on, several messages popped up from one person. One read: “Yes babe, I arrived late but I enjoyed anyway. Good night, honey.”

The sender was Joyce, a woman Grace knew well. She used to sell clothes in their estate before relocating the previous year.

Overwhelmed with rage, she resisted the urge to slap him. Instead, she bombarded him with questions. James sat silently, sweating profusely. Unable to bear the pain, she broke down in tears and locked herself in the bedroom. The next morning, she packed her belongings and left.

James did not chase after her. Instead, he moved on as though nothing had happened. After two weeks, Grace returned home, only to discover that Joyce had moved in permanently. The betrayal hit harder when a friend confirmed that James had been living with the woman since she left.

Desperate for answers, Grace invited James for a meeting at Mama Ngina Restaurant, hoping for an explanation.

His words crushed her completely. "After all, you’re not my wife, you’re just a girlfriend," James told her.

Tearfully, she asked him what he meant, but his next words sent her into shock. "From now henceforth, don’t ever call me your husband, boyfriend, or anything. It’s over."

Grace returned home heartbroken. She had been living alone in Kayole ever since, but her life had never been the same. She desperately wanted her husband back but did not know how. That was when a friend, Mama Milka, advised her to seek help from Dr Mugwenu. Having faced a similar situation in 2015, Mama Milka swore that Dr Mugwenu had helped her.

Reluctantly, Grace reached out to him through the contacts provided. To her surprise, after interacting with Dr Mugwenu, he assured her that she would see results within two weeks. Just a week later, James called her. Shockingly, he told her that Joyce had packed her belongings and left. He further revealed that they had fought, leading Joyce to break the TV and radio before storming out.

James begged Grace to return so they could rebuild their life together. She finally found peace.
