The singer defended this practice, saying it is one of the few ways that all modern-day musicians can push their music to the public.
Diana came under attack this week from music critics including Jenkins Mukasa and Eddie Sendi, for paying bloggers to push her new song “Mind Your Business.”
Sendi also alleged that Diana co-opted the bloggers to insult him on their platforms.

In the Talk and Talk panel show broadcast on Wednesday, March 13, the media personalities listed some of the Youtubers who claimed that Diana and her manager Roger paid millions of shillings to do their dirty work.
Kasuku, the show host said some of the bloggers had confirmed to him that they received payments and “needed to show accountability” to Diana.

Appearing on Baaba TV this morning, Diana confirmed that she has always hired journalists to push her interests to the public.

“Music is a business that we have to invest in,” she said.
“When I go to Jah-Live, I have to pay millions to make a song. When I go to Swangz, I have to pay in millions to make a good video,” she said.
“How then can you get someone to push what you are doing on their platform and you don't want to pay them?
“Any musician has to market what they are selling…people who critique investing in music are either not in music or they are sick in the head.”
Diana further advised her critics to learn from her and get some reporters on their side.
“I am sure that even they (Jenkins and Sendi) are paying some people, only that they are not paying enough. Maybe they need to add more,” she said.
