I just wish to let you know again that I am not on X, and that account is ruining my life,” Nabakooza said during a live stream on TikTok

She pleaded with her fans to help her report the account so it could be taken down.

If each of the 500 of you here went and reported it, it will be removed.

The X account is notorious for posting revealing images of the 21-year-old Ghetto Kid, with some messages portraying her as a thirsty single girl looking for love and romance.

Last month, a post from the account was quoted by media, purporting to respond to a video of Nakakooza’s private moment with Victor Ruz.

Other victims

Several Ugandan celebrities and public figures have come out to lament about being impersonated online.

The most recent include Daniela Atim and Buganda’s Princess Katrina Ssangalyambogo.

This type of impersonation often leads to various issues, including financial scams, reputation damage, and emotional distress for both the celebrities and their fans.

One common scam involves using celebrities' names and images in fraudulent online ads to lure unsuspecting victims.

These ads often promote fake investment opportunities or dubious products, tricking people into spending money based on false endorsements.

These fraudulent activities not only deceive fans but also harm the celebrities' reputations, leading to a loss of trust.

Social media platforms like X, Facebook and Instagram are rife with fake accounts impersonating celebrities.

These accounts are used to promote scams, spread misinformation, and engage in malicious activities.

For instance, fake accounts may live-stream old videos of celebrities, asking viewers to send money or personal information in exchange for fake prizes.

Other scams involve direct messages from bogus accounts soliciting donations for fake charities or offering fake investment opportunities.
