Looking back on her ordeal, Judith Heard empathises with Pretty Nicole

Speaking to the media, Heard urged the government to come up with stringent laws against revenge porn.

"I call upon the government to think about revenge pornography," said the socialite whose ordeal was shared on global media platforms like CNN and BBC.

Judith Heard, who was arrested in 2018 following the leak of her nude photos, said that "no woman would ever think about sharing" such content publicly.

"They need to put a law on this," said the model, whose real name is Judith Kanebwa.

Meanwhile, the family of Nicole, real name Emmanuella Musimenta, filed a police case against a Ugandan man based in Canada, who is believed to have leaked private images of the teenager.

The man identified only as Shafik is said to have been dating Nicole for months before a recent misunderstanding which drove him to leak the videos online.

Police opened charges of child pornography against the suspect.

Pretty Nicole’s mother in an interview, revealed that Shafik contacted her recently threatening to “expose” her daughter.

He was supposedly angry upon learning that Nicole was seeing another man. Shafik was also upset about some of Nicole's relatives who were talking about him in different media interviews.

“He called me and told me to tell Emma, (Nicole’s cousin) to stop doing interviews, and that if he didn’t, he was going to blackmail my daughter,’ she said in an interview with Hadija Kigozi.

“He said the interviews were making him look bad before his bosses who are in Kampala. He then told me that he had many of Nicole’s private videos and that he was going to drop them.”

Then one night, to her shock, she says, Shafik sent him five of Nicole’s nude videos.

“I opened them and saw that it was her, I was so shocked and upset, I started crying. Later on, after I composed myself, I called him back and begged him not to release the videos, but he would not listen,” she said, breaking down in tears.

Who is Shafik?

According to the mother, Pretty Nicole called her on the phone last year to introduce Shafik as her new boyfriend.

Nicole said this Canada-based businessman was willing to take care of her, take her to school, and help turn her into a major influencer, if she would agree to marry him afterwards.

He was also supposedly prepared to take Nicole to study in Kenya this year, because she had become too famous in Uganda.

But when the mother asked Nicole to send her his pictures, She was concerned that he looked much older.

In subsequent conversations with him, she learned that he was a divorced father of three children.

Nonetheless, she says, she was pleased that her daughter was truthful to her about the man and she was ready to give him a chance.

Unfortunately, however, Nicole developed misunderstandings with Shafik weeks ago, when she had rumours that he had another woman.

Nicole also reportedly started seeing another man in Kampala, with whom she has been for most of the Christmas holidays.

In their police case, Nicole’s mother says they have also opened up charges of Kidnap and disappearance, against this new man, whom police are hunting.
