When the family learned that she was planning to return to Kampala, Ata contacted Bruno K to create a tribute song as a way of appreciating her.
Bruno linked Ata to Taz, who wrote the song, and then to producer Big Davie Logic. Ata dealt with them directly, so Bruno did not receive any payment.
When Jalia arrived, the singer was invited to perform the song at her mother's house, and videos from the event went viral on social media.
However, he hadn't been paid for his contribution to the song's creation yet. During the performance, Jalia's husband gave him $100 and "about 300k shillings".
She also gave him Shs1 million after the performance but did not specify that it was payment for his vocal contribution to the song.
Before leaving, Bruno suggested they make a video, and Jalia told him to get a director. He had previously worked with Hash Pounds, so he introduced him to Jalia, and she paid Hash Shs2.8 million for labour and renting equipment.
They agreed on a time and day for the shoot, planning to spend the whole day together since the story to film was long. They decided to start at 9 A.M.

She insisted on filming some scenes herself using a smaller camera and a phone.
