In a TikTok stream on Monday, Skin shrugged off the allegations that his team conspired with that of Pallaso to have his Sitya Danger and Pallaso’s Love Fest concerts held on the same day.

In particular, the allegations went that Abby Musinguzi (Abitex) who organized Skin’s show, contacted Balaam Barugahare who was behind the Love Fest concert, to coincide both shows as a way of optimizing the building passion among the fans.

Eddy Kenzo, President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) gave credence to these reports, telling reporters on Monday that he had evidence of the alleged deal.

Kenzo claimed that one of his association members had actually initiated a conference call, in which Abitex himself pinned Balaam about the said deal.

There’s over 30 artists who are my witnesses on this; an official from Afri-aid told all of us that he called Balaam, Abitex and Balunywa and that Abitex pinned Balaam on that conference call saying the whole thing was planned,” said Kenzo.

In response however, Skin dismissed these claims as nonsense, stressing that there was no way he would agree to an arrangement of that kind.

Besides, the singer, real names Patrick Mulwana said no one in their right mind would accept to be part of the deal where one of the parties was bound to come out a loser.

If this is a game that we played on the fans, then shouldn't we have split the money? If it was a trick, how come one side came out as the winner and the other as the loser?,” he charged.

For people like Kenzo fueling the allegations, Skin challenged them to attempt the same trick themselves and see if it works.

“I see some of the people pushing this are musicians. You go and play that trick yourself. There’s no one stopping you.” he said.

Meanwhile, following the successful concert at Freedom City, Skin said there’s been an upsurge in bookings for his shows. As such, he announced that starting this weekend, he will be embarking on a national tour, beginning with Mbarara on Saturday June 17, and Mbale on June 18.
