The music showrunner challenged Kenzo to provide proof to his claims that the recent concert battle between Pallaso and Alien Skin was syndicated.
“I have put 5 million shillings if (Kenzo) can bring evidence that I called Balaam in order to play a trick on the fans. I have the money with me, we are still counting the cash from the concert. I will give you 5 million on camera,” he said.
Kenzo fueled the claims early last week that Abitex, who organized Skin’s show, contacted Balaam Barugahare who was behind Pallaso’s Love Fest concert, to coincide both shows as a way of optimizing the building passion among the fans.
He told reporters on Monday last week that he had evidence of the alleged deal.
Kenzo claimed that events promoter Musa Balunywa had actually initiated a conference call, in which Abitex himself pinned Balaam about the said deal.
Balunywa and one Moses Lubulwa from the Music Promoters Association reportedly attended Kenzo’s federation meeting in Makindye, where they informed members that they were privy to the deal between Abitex and Balaam.
However, Abitex says he was never involved in any such deal.
“I know Balaam, and I know that he records every phone call he makes. If I ever contacted him then he should have the evidence; let them bring it.”
Abitex also said the promoters association which he heads will look into its members Balunywa, Lubulwa to explain why they attended Kenzo’s federation meeting.
