Recently when she was asked to talk about the political party she supports, she declined to comment.

"I don't speak about politics, I don't involve myself," Kirema said in an interview.

"I don't want to know. I just need to raise my kids."

Her husband, Bebe Cool, is a staunch supporter of President Yoweri Museveni, the chairman of the ruling National Resistance Movement.

Cool, real name Moses Ssali – even supported Museveni when his father, Jaberi Bidandi Ssali, run for president in 2011.

Cool is so close to Museveni that in 2018 President Museveni attended his concert dubbed Golden Hearts concert which was held at Kololo Airstrip in Kampala.

And the relationship doesn't stop at the president. Bebe Cool is generally close to some influential members of the first family.

For instance, he was on the organising committee of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba's birthday party last year.

When a birthday dinner was hosted at State House Entebbe on April 24 where Rwandan President Paul Kagame was also a guest, Cool and Kirema were among the few selected guests.

Cool's political inclination has deepened his beef with Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, who heads the National Unity Platform (NUP).

"As a woman, I have to let the man handle that. Because he is an old man, he knows what he is doing. Even [Bobi Wine] is an old man, he knows what he is doing," she said.

Kirema added: "Obviously they have reasons they keep doing whatever they are doing. So, you can't just start telling him what to do. No, an old person knows what he is doing, so I can't just involve myself."
