Trouble looms for Kitatta and co-accused after army court's latest decision
The Ugandan army court has asked jailed Boda Boda 2010 Association leader and co-accused to prepare the defence.
Abdallah Kitatta and 9 others face charges of unlawful possession of firearms and military equipment.
The court's panel of seven members revealed that the group has 'a case to answer' after hearing testimonies from witnesses.
The same court acquitted three of the co-accused citing that they were at the crime scene when 'during the commission of the offences'.
In January, Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) operatives raided Boda Boda 2010 offices recovering guns, machetes, number plates and other military equipment.
Kitatta has been in and out of army court since his arrest. Several applications for a bail have been rejected.
The group had rejected being tried in an army court arguing that they are not soldiers but civilians.
