The couple, who married in 2021 in one of Uganda’s most talked-about weddings, had a bitter public breakup which they confirmed at the close of last year

The split followed allegations of domestic violence and substance abuse, which Sasha shared on social media, revealing that she endured “immense pain behind closed doors” and chose to raise their children alone.

Canary, who works with NBS Television, has responded in kind on his own platforms, denying claims of abuse and asserting that he has been supportive of his children despite limited access.

The breakup has dominated online conversation, with both personalities trading accusations and personal statements in a highly emotional exchange.

Sasha’s Q&A and the Reconciliation Question

In a Q&A session with fans yesterday, Sasha addressed speculation over whether she and Canary might reunite.

Regarding reconciliation, she made it clear that she is cautious about revisiting the relationship, especially given the gravity of what she’s shared.

“I think what is important is to pray for the grace to go past the big lie spread about me in order to assassinate my character and justify the wrong being done in broad daylight,” she said

“Someone who can go an extra mile to play victim knowing the truth is a very dangerous person to be with.”

She went on to reaffirm her stance on personal boundaries and respect:

“They don’t beat a pregnant woman and no woman should ever accept that. Pregnant or not.”

Despite the tough subject matter, Sasha struck a reflective tone in some of her replies. When asked how she was doing, she expressed gratitude for emotional healing, saying she was “grateful that I didn’t have to cross over to a new year with a heavy heart,”

On questions about co-parenting an absentee partner, she emphasised the importance of working for the children’s future, regardless of Canary’s involvement.

“Work for your children so that even if he ignores his responsibility it barely hurts,” she advised
