Police issue kidnap alert

Police have issued an alert urging parents to remain vigilant as schools open for second term.

The latest alert comes amid increased kidnaps in the country where over 40 cases have been reported so far.
Authorities also strongly urged parents to "deliver children" to school.
Schools have be advised to put in place proper systems to receive and handle children to "avoid criminal elements".

"Schools will be held responsible for these inadequacies or criminal intentions
"We advise schools to make use of our offices to interact with students so that we empower them and create awareness," police statement reads.
Police authorities have also issued tough traffic guidelines after a grisly accident in Kiryandongo where 22 people died.
They warn that "no stone will remain unturned" in the enforcement of traffic regulation.
