Pastor Kayanja says "only UGX350m was collected from the youth" not UGX5bn as stated in a lawsuit filed through Rwankafuzi Advocates.

He adds that UGX50,000 was collected from each applicant as registration fee for the youth fund and most of the money was refunded.

The pastor told media that he was let down by the president's office which hasn't released the funds.

A group of youth claims that the pastor, through Version 86 Youth for Transformation program, didn't distribute the billions of money to over 1,000 people as earlier promised

The funds, collected between May and December 2015, were meant to fight poverty through youth self-employment by "bringing a stop to the unemployment among the youth".

The youths "wish to have their money refunded to them" and also demand an accountability for the money collected.

They also "wish to be informed inf indeed preparations are in process to have funds released," part of the lawsuit reads.
