Malema sends Babu Owino valuable gift ahead of his Kenyan visit

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in South Africa Julius Malema sent Embakasi East MP Babu Owino an appreciation gift.

This was revealed by Babu Owino who termed the package as a precious gift after he received the red beret from Malema.

“The Leader of the  Honorable Julius Malema, my comrade in the Youth for Africa Movement today sent me a precious gift," Babu stated.

“I humbly receive this symbolic token ahead of Hon Malema’s visit to Kenya later in the year as we continue to agitate for youth inclusion in the governance of the continent," he said.

Grateful for the gift

Babu expressed his gratitude for the red beret saying it symbolizes the blood that has been shed by patriotic citizens seeking justice and fairness.

“This red beret is the same colour of the struggle for freedom in Uganda led by Honorable Bobi Wine and the revolution in Zimbabwe led by Honorable Nelson Chamisa," Babu said.

“Red symbolizes the blood that has been shed by patriotic citizens seeking justice, fairness and freedom in their countries,” he added.

The gift comes barely a week as South Africans prepare to go to the polls on May 8 2019.

Malema's party, EFF is seen as a big threat to ANC which has been in power since the end of apartheid and the first democratic elections to be held in South Africa in 1994.
