The NASA leaders met in Athi River where Wetangula and Mudavadi endorsed Kalonzo to take up the opposition leader position, reiterating that the new unity between President Uhuru and Raila was not genuine but inclined on individual interests of the two.

The Wiper party leader however declined to take up the role.

The three NASA leaders Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi met at AIC Athi River for a church service in Mavoko Sub-County where they later on joined Gospel singer Justus Mutisya to celebrate 5 years since joining the music industry.
