Kenzo's active participation has raised concern within his large number of fans who have continued to ask him if he is joining active politics.

The musician on Tuesday explained why he continues to use his platform to speak against the injustices and issues affecting Ugandan youths.

"I'm not a politician and I'm not fighting anybody. I don't belong to any political party. I don't even know how they remove someone from power. It's not my dream to join elective politics," he said in public video on social media.

The singer adds: "I'm a leader by birth and not vote. God blessed me to have a following of Ugandans whom I inspire".

He states that he will not "pretend or sugarcoat" what is happening in the country and will speak plainly "without beating around the bush".

"Young Ugandans are dying. You can't sing love songs when your fans are dying. You have to come in and say something. I can't be happy when my fans are not happy and I can't be happy when my country is not happy. We have to talk about these issues with our leaders.

"Don't take us for granted. We are very big people with a big voice. Don't bring the propaganda of leaving politics...We are not fighting anybody.

"When I chant people power, it doesn't mean that I want the government to change. People Power slogan has no problem. All power belongs to the people, it's not mine alone".
