Former NRM MP dies aged 60

Former NRM MP of Buhaguzi County Tom Kyahurwenda has died at the age of 60 after breathing complications, family says.

Kyahurwenda died from Nsambya Hospital where he was receiving treatment from after complaining of abdominal and chest pains.

The 60-year-old politician has been struggling with High Blood Pressure for the last two years, according to his family.

He will be buried at his ancestral home in Kabwooya sub-country in Hoima District.

His family hasn't released a burial program.

The legislator served as Buhaguzi MP in 2001 after defeating Brig Matayo Kyaligonza and was re-elected in 2006 and served until 2011.
