Detectives arrest ODM MP while he's having lunch

Nyakach MP Aduma Owuor was arrested on Thursday by detectives from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) in Kisumu.

The Member of Parliament was apprehended while having lunch at Gor Mahia Hotel in Kondele, Kisumu.

According to the EACC, the MP was arrested over alleged irregular payment of Ksh68 million to a law firm.

During the alleged irregular payment, Aduma was the former Acting Director of Legal Affairs at the Nairobi County Government.

He is expected to be transferred to Nairobi for further interrogation pending arraignment.
