The Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti has revealed that he has been receiving lucrative offers as well as threatening messages from individuals who want him to go slow on the fight against corruption.

In an interview with Reuters, Kinoti divulged that his phone has been busy lately with messages flowing in, promising him gifts should he bow out of the fight against corruption that has seen several influential individuals including former Treasury CS Henry Rotich arrested and arraigned in court.

Kinoti who has a reputation as courageous and honest cop maintained that he will not give in to the demands, promising to carry on with the arrests.

“People might as well start preparing themselves because more arrests will be forthcoming.

"You cannot call me and stop me, you cannot stop me, you can't,” Kinoti clarified.

He also praised the Director of Public Prosecutions for who he hailed as a knowledgeable man committed to the fight against graft.

“He is the first DPP. I can say that he is a polished field officer. He knows investigations very well because by capacity he was an investigator and an operational man in the intelligence,” he stated.
