Bobi Wines bodyguard Eddie Ssebuufu aka Eddy Mutwe has been charged with treason.
Eddy Mutwe was charged before Gulu Magistrate Court on Tuesday alongside another suspect Musa Senyange.
They allegedly participated in pelting stones to President Museveni's car in the northern town of Arua. He joins the long list of other 33 treason suspects.
The two have been remanded to Gulu Main Prison until October 1st when he will appear together with other suspects for case hearing.
Court order
Civil Division of High Court on Monday ordered for the immediate and unconditional release of Eddie Mutwe.
His lawyer filed an application arguing that his client is being detained illegally and unconstitutional -- seeking for his immediate release or production in court.
Mutwe was arrested on August 25 and has been in detention since then without being charged.
Torture allegations
Bobi Wine's bodyguard alleged that he was constantly tortured by operatives from the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI).
He revealed that he was tortured while blindfolded and was kept in a small dark room.
Eddie Mutwe says the operatives were asking him about Bobi Wine and who is funding his movement.
