The musician-turned-politician took to Facebook to praise his wife as a "source of hope and confidence".

The couple is married with four kids and celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary in August, on the day Bobi Wine was granted bail.

Bobi Wine went on to say: "You know the best and worst of me and you touch the strongest and weakest in me. I am who I am because I've been loved by the best and it's such an honour to share my name with you."

Barbie Kyagulanyi has been showing support to her husband following his arrest in the northern town of Arua. On the day of bail hearing, her only hope was to see her husband free and ready for proper treatment.

"Bobi my love, today is our seventh wedding anniversary. Unlike the other anniversaries in the past, this one finds us in a court room in Gulu. It finds you in clutches, unable to walk by yourself. It finds you before a judge, making an application for you to be released on bail so that you can go for medical treatment," she wrote.

They are both currently in the US where the 36-year-old MP is receiving specialised treatment from for the injuries he sustained during his brutal arrest and detention.
