Sixty-year-old woman murders husband for demanding a child from her

A sixty-year-old woman identified as Nanlongo Babirye has murdered her husband following demands from him to have a child.

According to the police spokesperson, Fred Enanga, Babirye’s husband who has since been identified as Richard Ssemambo aged fifty years was demanding a child from his sixty-year-old wife.

Enanga said the couple had quarreled and disagreed about the matter on the eve of Ssemambo’s murder Saturday, March 4 2023 at a happening place they had gone to in Kasangati town.

The couple had gone to a happening place in Kasangati when they disagreed about having a child. We have learnt that the husband Richard Ssemambo was demanding a child from his sixty-year-old wife,” Enanga said.

He added: “When the couple to got home, the wife got a spear and pierced her husband. Nnalongo only tied a piece of cloth on her husband which didn’t help because he bled the whole night. Ssemambo was found dead the following day.”

Enanga also said there were allegations that Ssemambo murdered Nanalongo’s children (his step children) while demanding for a child from her.

He said Nnalongo has since been arrested and charged with first degree murder.

Enanga revealed she was arrested alongside four other people who live in the same vicinity as her.

According to Enanga, Nnalongo was land lady to the four people who she was arrested with.

The four were arrested and charged with aiding crime.

We arrested four other people alongside her. They just looked on the crime went on meaning they aided crime,” Enanga said.
