Jinja's creative scene comes alive with the Guinness Bright House event

The Guinness Bright House made its way to Jinja on Saturday, May 6, 2023, and the city's creative scene was buzzing with excitement.

The event, which took place at the monumental source of Nile at Nile Park, was an immersive experience that brought together creatives from various fields such as fashion, music, art, and sports.

The day mode of the Bright House kicked off with a masterclass by veteran music producer, Benon Mugumbya, who shared tips on music production and how technology can enhance those dreams. The highlight of his masterclass was the live creation of a "hit" song titled "Makanika w'eKireka" with digital content creator and comedian Uncle Mo.

Visual artist Kwiz_era also led a live art painting session and gave an art masterclass to young artists, sharing insights on how they can grow closer to realizing their artistic dreams.

Jinja's very own Coach Ayub and Fufa's Shawn Mubiru delivered a sports masterclass, where they spoke about the city's talent and how leadership can harness it. They encouraged young sports enthusiasts to follow their passion and commitment, which can change their lives for the better.

The night mode of the Bright House was equally thrilling, with dancehall royalty Vampino taking to the stage to perform some of his smash hits. The surprise of the night came when Benon joined Vampino on stage for a performance of their 2007 hit song "I know" and "Locomotive," an all-star song they both featured on.

Guinness Uganda Brand Manager Elizabeth Mutamuliza emphasised the essence of the Bright House, which is to bring creatives together to foster collaboration and have industry luminaries motivate up-and-coming creatives.

The night ended on a high note with Azawi's performance alongside her band. The songbird serenaded the crowd with songs like "My Year," "Quinamino," "Repeat It," and "Majje," leaving the crowd in a state of musical bliss.

The Guinness Bright House is an immersive experience that empowers and inspires creatives to illuminate the world with the brightest versions of themselves. It is a fusion of creativity and socialising, a hub for people to connect and inspire each other over a Guinness. The Bright House gives consumers an opportunity to interact with the brand in spaces of their interest, from football that is synonymous with the brand to music, fashion, and art.
