<h1>NASA leader Raila Odinga has been forced to cancel his planned trip to the United States at the last minute.</h1>

<a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/election/2017/news/raila-to-hold-talks-with-the-uk-business-community-in-london-id7455027.html" id="cd58a361-c8b5-5d76-b7e8-8fe21d9297f0">Mr Odinga was scheduled to give lecture </a>at the Duke University in Durham from September 16-19 and was set to begin his US visit on Friday, September 14.

On advice of the university, Odinga called off the trip due to extreme weather conditions building up in the US State of North Carolina.

An extremely powerful hurricane, Florence is expected to land on the North Carolina coast early Friday.

The Durham area is fore casted to remain under extremely dangerous weather conditions from Thursday through Sunday and has cancelled all classes this week.

"Under the circumstances, it was agreed that Mr Odinga's lecture be postponed to next month," read a statement from Odinga's spokesman Dennis Onyango.

The former Prime Minister is currently in Ghana for the burial of former UN Secretary General Dr Koffi Annan.

Raila was set to land in the US on Friday.

The medical camp at Kathiani Primary School which is opposite Sonko’s Mua Hills Home is aimed at helping families that cannot afford medical facilities due to financial challenges.

Hundreds of patients on Thursday suffering from chronic diseases benefited from the free medical camp with Sonko urging the sick to turn out in large numbers.

“I really value human life. When my late father was alive, he used to talk a lot about the importance of good health and education. Therefore, by setting up this free medical camp is a dedication to our late father,” he said.

"Exactly three years today, you slid quietly into eternity. Time stood still but it can never erase your presence in our lives. Death may end life but not a relationship.

We remember you as a wonderful gift from God, our pillar of strength. We deeply cherish your memories of love, dedication, kindness, wisdom and generosity which will remain a guiding light to us.

As a leader, husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and for everything you were physically and still are in our hearts, your memories linger, sweetly, tenderly, fondly and truly. We miss you dearly.

Your amazing life was a blessing to us; the memory of your deeds a treasure, your passing le\u001F a void beyond words and your absence a pain beyond measure.

Although physically gone, you have always been a thought away from us.

May the Almighty rest your soul in eternal peace," Sonko wrote.

Sonko's father passed away three years ago.

<h1>Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has come under fire after his latest tweet on the deported Chinese businessman Liu Jiaqi.</h1>

Jiaqi was captured on video hurling insults at Kenyans and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

There was public uproar with many demanding his immediate deportation, when the video showing him calling Kenyans monkeys went viral.

The <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/news/local/china-responds-after-chinese-man-was-recorded-abusing-uhuru-id8818825.html" id="b5dc5c09-455f-5cc5-9537-3e114e1cc549">Chinese Embassy swiftly responded distancing itself from Jiaqi's offensive remarks noting that the utterances made by their national did not represent that of China's vast majority </a>adding that he had already been punished by his employer.

Murkomen on Thursday afternoon took to Twitter saying that as much as citizens are angered at Jiaqi, most of Kenyans call each other worse names.

"I know we are mad with Liu Jiaqi for calling us monkeys. But let’s be honest. How many of us call people worse names because they come from different tribes?How many of us hurl obscenities to others coz they hold different opinions?We’ve many&amp;worse Liu Jiaqis among us," Murkomen tweeted.

The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator's sentiments did not go down well with Kenyans who attacked him for what was seen as being defensive of the Chinese national.

The Immigration Department at 4pm confirmed that Jiaqi had been deported.

<h1>Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has admitted she knows the person who used National Youth Service (NYS) scandal key suspect Josephine Kabura.</h1>

Speaking on Wednesday night during Citizen TV's JKLive, Waiguru said Kabura was just a pawn and she knew exactly who used Kabura, the NYS 1 chief suspect <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/election/2017/news/purity-ngirici-trouble-for-waiguru-days-after-being-sworn-in-id7202877.html" id="01d467ff-820e-53cb-bf0d-e1b2ae0ef9ad">who has been behind her woes for the past few years.</a>

In 2016, Kabura swore an affidavit linking Ms Waiguru, the then Devolution Cabinet secretary, to the alleged loss of Sh791 million at the NYS.

However when pressed by Citizen TV news anchor Jeff Koinange to disclose the identity of the person who used Kabura, the Kirinyaga Governor was non-committal to reveal the name on national television.

"Kabura was a pawn, somebody used her. I know who it is. I will not answer whether it is a politician or not. We have a new Director of Public Prosecution in town and we expect that he will do the right thing," Waiguru stated.

The Kirinyaga County boss at the same time refused to point out who was to blame for the NYS 1 scam saying that she could not because that was exactly what happened to her when the scandal broke out.

Earlier this week, Waiguru gave the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) seven days to make public the findings of investigations into Kabura's affidavit.

Through her lawyer Mansur Issa, Waiguru wrote to the anti-corruption agency to release the outcome of the investigations and forward the file to the Director of Public Prosecutions within seven days.

“Our client has written severally requesting for information on the outcome of the investigation but the commission inexplicably has not been forthcoming. We look forward to receiving a copy of the report by early return and in any event within the next seven days," Waiguru wrote.

The Kirinyaga Governor argued that the delay in releasing the findings has resulted in negative publicity, the latest being the IPSOS Poll that listed her as the second most corrupt public leader in the country.
