The Uganda parliament suffered a double tragedy on Thursday, January 9 with the passing of two of its members.
Hon Margaret Baba Diri, a former Koboko District Woman MP died on Thursday afternoon while being rushed to the hospital.
She was aged 70.
The deceased previously represented the people with disabilities, since 1996.

The news of her passing was confirmed on the floor of parliament during plenary.
It came just moments after the death of Hon Muhammad Ssegirinya was finally confirmed by Rubaga Hospital.
Speaker of the house, Anitah Among while paying tribute to Baba Diri said she had received the news earlier but she was still waiting for confirmation.
Among said Parliament would embark on the funeral arrangements for the two legislators.
