The victim, who has only been identified by Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango as Pretty Nicole, was accused by one of the suspects of cheating with her boyfriend.

According to the video clips shared on social media, they found Nicole at the boyfriend's place of residence.

The suspects did all sorts of terrifying things to her, including beating and dragging her on the floor.

Onyango's deputy Luke Owoyesigyire said Nicole has refused to cooperate with the police and lead them to the suspects.

"We've not yet," Owoyesigyire told this reporter over the phone when he was asked if the suspects have been arrested.

"The girl that was assaulted is not cooperating to lead us where those people stay."

Nicole, who is 14, is currently at Kawempe Police Station to prevent her from fleeing.

"Kawempe Police station has a shelter for victims of torture, kidnap and trafficking. This is where she slept after exhibiting signs of escaping from her mother; it should be noted that the girl also blames herself for what happened to her," Owoyesigyire said.

Celebrites have reacted to the incident.

Songstress Lydia Jazmine said: "This video is disturbing and absolutely disgusting! These girls should be behind bars plus the “supposed boyfriend “ himself! Stupid!! 🤦‍♀️ beating a fellow woman over a man that’s going to cheat regardless lol we can do better dear WOMEN!"

TV host Sheilah Gashumba said: “Beating up a girl because of a man who will cheat on you regardless is just being dumb. 3 seconds into the video and I couldn’t even continue watching🤦‍♀️Two bullies with low self-esteem and low confidence. A man who wants to be yours will always be yours!! Stop that madness.”

Radio host Lucky Mbabazi said: “Imagine being sent to prison because you couldn't control your emotions, only to get out when the man you were fighting for is married to the woman you beat up.

Meanwhile, Onyango said the suspects are still on the run.
