"I can't," said Lian while speaking to Ruth Kalibbala in a recent interview. "I would have already done it. I can't... I love my colour and I'm so proud of it."
Lian and Kalibbala were speaking on the growing trend of women bleaching themselves to match some standards of beauty.
In the interview, they also talked about Sandra Lian's career, education and family ground.
Sandra Lian Lusiya, who is a video editor, news anchor and TV host, hails from Luwero, went to Our Lady of Africa S.S. Namilyango, St. Kizito Katikamu S.S and Mutesa I Royal University where she studied Mass Communication.
She told Kalibbala that she started dancing while in school and she was a highly-rated Maganda dancer.
Her media internship was at Delta TV, where she tried out lots of things, including videography and working as a receptionist.
It's here that she met the legendary TV and radio host Denis Katongole Omutongole whom she even invited for her graduation party.
They became friends and he gave her a five-minute segment in his show at Delta.
She was later fired from Delta for skipping work.
She went back home and after a while, an opportunity to work as a video editor at Baba TV for 500k came knocking.
She was posted in Jinja, but she didn't get the 500k as promised, only 200k.
After two months, she protested to join the Baba TV branch in Ntinda, Kampala.
While there, they gave her an opportunity to present a gossip segment on the morning show.
She later landed an opportunity to work with Next Media where she started as a video editor, and she has since evolved into a news anchor and host.
