Gospel singer Betty Nakibuuka has spoken out once again about her daughter Baby Gloria’s engagement to her lover, Jonas Mbaleka, describing him a son she has been missing.
In a televised interview on Friday, Nakibuuka expressed her pride in finally having a “son” through her daughter’s engagement.
She shared her long-standing wish to have a son, which was fulfilled when Baby Gloria found a good partner.

“I am proud that I finally have a son,” Nakibuuka said.
“I have three girls, and I always prayed to God that since He didn’t give me a son, I asked that He give me good sons-in-law. I would turn those into my sons.”
Nakibuuka said Jonas would be treated like her own son and hoped that her other two girls will get decent men like Gloria’s.

Advise to parents
Nakibuuka also offered advice to parents on guiding their children’s relationships.
She stressed the importance of getting to know their children’s friends, especially as they mature.
“When your daughter comes of age and you notice she has male friends, invite them to your home and understand who they are,” Nakibuuka advised.
Failing to do so, she said could lead to unwanted situations, like teenage pregnancies, as children may hide relationships from their parents.
