"I'm sorry I didn't come back home" - Bobi Wine writes to his children

Detained musician-turned-MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has penned emotional letters to his four children.

The 36-year-old MP is in detention at a military facility in Makindye, Kampala. He faces charges of treason, unlawful possession of firearms and malicious damage of president's car.

Barbie Kyagulanyi has shared on social media two letters which his husband shared to his four children who are yet to see him ever since his arrest on August 13th.

Letter to elder son

One of Bobi Wine's letters is addressed to his elder son Solomon Kampala Kyagulanyi.

In a handwritten letter, the tortured musician tells his son to "be strong and to be the man I always wanted you to be".

"I will one day be free and will reunite with you and the entire family...God is taking care of me," part of the letter reads.

Shalom, Shadrack and Suubi

The Kyadondo East MP wrote another letter for his 3 other children; Shalom, Shadrack and Suubi.

He writes that he is sorry he "didn't come back home as I had promised" -- adding that "I got some problems but if you continue praying for me, I will soon return home and we be together".

"Please be good children and take care of your mother".

Bobi Wine is expected to appear in court on Thursday.
