Owino responded after Sonko issued a new list of properties that would be affected in a renewed operation to recover public utility land.

The youthful MP claimed that Weston Hotel, which is owned by Deputy President William Ruto, had grabbed some land from Lang’ata Primary School.

“I expect my brother Mike Sonko to walk the talk. We all want to see Lang’ata Primary School get back their land from Weston Hotel,” Owino said.

The Weston Hotel has on several occasions been accused of grabbing public land, allegations that Ruto has vehemently denied.

In 2015, Weston Hotel was accused of grabbing part of Langata Primary School to expand its parking space.

Weston, however, denied the allegation and the disputed land was later claimed by another private developer – Harban Singh.

Singh, who owned Airport View Housing Limited has since passed on.
