[WATCH]:Shadir Bwogi knocks out Police Constable in first round to win national title

Pro boxer Shadir Musa Bwogi delivered a series of devastating blows sending Police Constable Ivan Magumba to kiss the canvas in the first round of the national super middleweight January 14, 2023 at Lugogo Indoor Arena in the 75Kg national title bout.

Shadir Bwogi is a national champion

Bwogi, popularly referred to as the ‘Mayweather of Uganda’ won it early in the fight after he landed a devastating left hook landing it perfectly on Magumba's head.

The Police Boxing Club star lost balance, staggering to the canvas. He muscled strength to find his balance and composure surviving the referee's count as the crowd went wild.

A charged Bwogi made the most of the weakness of the opponent and landed a hailstorm of fast-paced punches directing to Magumba’s head as the referee restarted the fight.

In the heat of the moment, Magumba gave in, landing on the canvas and staggered about in the ring.

The win earns Bwogi his first professional national title having won it all in junior ranks.

In his post-fight address, he pledged to deliver more for his fans as his focus will be raising his level of fight.

This is just the beginning, I thank my fans. I want to raise this country’s flag high and bring what hasn’t been achieved before for my nation. I know I am better than every boxer here in the country, but this time round, I trained and that’s why you saw a different version of me”, he stated.

Meanwhile, Magumba apologised to his supporters urging Bwogi to give him a rematch.
