Toyota, last weekend expressed eagerness to meet and work with those who oppose the government, including NUP President Bobi Wine.

“If I meet Bobi Wine I will first bump him; I have no qualms with him,” he said.

“In my heart, there is no room for politics of hatred. I believe that every human being matters in this world.”

Toyota made these remarks while attending a Sunday service yesterday, at Pastor Wilson Bugembe’s Worship House Church in Nansana.

I was taught how to treat people with fairness and that is why even though I am a Protestant, I can go to any church or mosque.

Toyota was responding to a request by Pastor Bugembe for the government to allow churches to bridge the country's political gap.

Bugembe said he was concerned that church leaders get vilified when the are seen with politicians on the opposition side.

I would ask you to tell the people in government to allow us to interact with everybody,” Bugembe urged Toyota.

If they see me with Bobi Wine, they shouldn't get mad and if they see me with Gen Muhoozi, no one should be mad.

During the service, Mr Toyota delivered Shs 20 million to Pastor Bugembe to help with the completion of his new church.

He also promised to invite President Museveni to visit the church.
