Gen. Otto hands over to Gen. Olum as chairperson security supervision mechanism

Major General Jack Bakasumba, the Chief of Joint Staff, officiated the handover ceremony for the Office of the Chairperson of the Security Supervision Mechanism in South Sudan at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs (MODVA) Headquarters in Mbuya.

At the event, Major General Richard Otto transferred the office to Major General Dick Olum. Major General Bakasumba emphasised that their roles are not just honours but come with substantial responsibilities.

The outgoing Chairperson, Major General Otto, expressed his gratitude to President Yoweri Museveni and the UPDF leadership for the opportunity to serve.

The incoming Chairperson, Major General Dick Olum, thanked the UPDF leadership for their trust and appreciated his predecessor’s guidance.
