The Laga Swagga campaign, launched by Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL), is a three-month nationwide initiative aimed at rewarding loyal consumers of some of Uganda’s most popular spirits, including Uganda Waragi Premium, Coconut, Lemon and Ginger, V&A, Bond 7, and Gilbeys. The promotion is designed not just as a marketing initiative, but as a way to celebrate and appreciate the continued support of UBL's customers.

Hillary Baguma, the Brand Manager for Mainstream Spirits at UBL, expressed his excitement during the prize handover ceremony.

"I am very excited to hand over the Laga Swagga prizes to the winners," Baguma said. "Laga Swagga is our way of giving back to those who have supported our brands over the years. This is more than just a promotion; it's a celebration of life with Uganda’s finest spirits."

Baguma encouraged consumers to continue participating in the promotion, which offers substantial weekly cash rewards, including a grand prize of up to UGX 50 million. He emphasized that joining the weekly raffle is easy—participants simply need to purchase any of the participating brands, receive a unique code, and send it via SMS to 6688.

The raffle draws are broadcast live every Thursday on NTV, NBS, and Bukedde TV, ensuring transparency and excitement for all participants. "We’re taking the Laga Swagga experience to all regions across Uganda," Baguma added. "Look out for us, join in the fun, and you could be the next big winner. We are passionate about celebrating life, and we are grateful to all our customers for their continued support."

In addition to the cash prizes, UBL is using the Laga Swagga campaign to promote responsible drinking. Baguma reminded consumers to stay hydrated, eat before drinking, and noted that participation in the promotion is strictly limited to individuals aged 18 and above.

The Laga Swagga campaign underscores UBL’s commitment to providing enjoyable experiences through its iconic brands, while also prioritizing the well-being of its consumers.
