Brig. Gen. (Rtd) Emmanuel Rwashande has won the NRM primaries to become the party's flag bearer in Lwemiyaga county, Ssembabe district after defeating the incumbent Theodore Ssekikubo.
The NRM primaries were held on Thursday July 17 and a number of incumbent candidates lost their seats.
The Lwemiyaga Member of Parliament seat was among the highly contested.
