Preparations kick off for King Oyo’s 30th Empango coronation anniversary

The Tooro Kingdom, in collaboration with Talent Africa Group, is set to host the highly anticipated 30th Empango Coronation Anniversary Ceremony of His Majesty King Oyo Rukidi IV. 

The grand celebration, titled Ekyooto Ha Mpango, will take place from September 10th to 13th, 2025, in the scenic city of Fort Portal, Uganda. 

This four-day event will be a vibrant mix of culture, music, and community spirit, marking a significant milestone for the Kingdom and its monarch.

King Oyo, who ascended to the throne at the tender age of three, has served as a beacon of unity and cultural pride for the Tooro Kingdom. Since his coronation in 1995,

The Ekyooto Ha Mpango festival will feature a range of exciting activities that reflect the diversity of Ugandan culture. 

The music festival will include performances by renowned artists alongside local talent, offering something for music lovers of all ages. A fashion gala will showcase both traditional and contemporary Ugandan fashion, highlighting the creativity of local designers.
