Singer Spice Diana has taken down the video of her 'Gwokute Gwobba' remix, originally by Uncle Chumi, from her YouTube channel.

The move came after requests from her fans, known as The Spice Gadgets, according to reports.

Released in March, the remix quickly gained thousands of views. However, since the beginning of the week, Spice Diana’s fans have been urging the singer to remove the video and stop associating with Uncle Chumi.

The fans claim Uncle Chumi has shown disrespect towards Spice Diana, even taunting her in various interviews. Chumi has previously said she was pressured by Spice Diana’s manager, Roger Lubega, to work on the remix.

Spice Diana, however, has expressed her shock at Chumi’s comments, saying she has always cared for Chumi and welcomed her into her home.

Spice Diana, whose real name is Hajara Namukwaya, started her career as an actress with Equator Production in Luzira before transitioning to music.

Her first major hit, Onsanula, was both written by her and produced by Dr. Fizo, with the accompanying music video being shot by the same film company she worked with at the time.

Diana has identified Onsanula as one of her four favourite songs, alongside Koona (featuring Pallaso), Ndi Mu Love (written by King Saha), and Siri Regular (written by Nince Henry).

This year she celebrated a decade in the music industry with a highly successful concert at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
