This is according to the analysis of celebrated entertainment journalist, Josephat Seguya.

Although fans of Cindy have recently weaponized her "seniority" in the ongoing fight ahead of the two female artists' battle at Kololo, Seguya offered some insight this morning on who is actually more senior.

“I first saw Sheebah long before seeing Cindy… Sheebah was first in the music industry,” Seguya said on his Olugambo show on Bukedde TV.

As we all know, Sheebah left the home of her mother Edith Kabazungu in Kawempe at the age of 15; she was only in Senior 2. That is when she started going out to different groups starting with Stingers and Obsessions, in the same way as singers like Jose Chameleone started.

This is around the year 2000. And we all know that we first saw Cindy in 2003. That means that Sheebah was here first, only that she was more of a dancer than a singer.”

In the Obsessions, even though Sheebah was not at the level of the likes of Cleopatra, Natasha Sinayobye, or Hellen Lukoma, Seguya says Karma Music boss was still very significant to the group.

"It is like me when I joined Bukedde, I did not start off as a TV personality. I started off writing in the paper and worked way up," he said.

With opinions still split on who rules between Sheebah and Cindy, the music industry and the nation awaits the verdict on September 15 at the Kololo Independence Grounds where the two will face in an unprecedented music battle.
