Kayanja praised his wife for being a strong and perfect parent from their son’s birth to the time of starting his own family.
The Rubaga Miracle Center senior pastor told his guests at the wedding reception that Kayanja Jr. was a product of God’s miraculous intervention, as they had struggled for years to have children during the early stage of their marriage.
At some point, he narrated, his wife (Jessica) nearly lost her life and a decision was taken by doctors in England to get rid of her uterus.

“We struggled to have a child for five years,” said Kayanja.
“For those of you who are struggling to have children, you need to know that God for sure answers prayers. Everybody believed we were never going to have children.”
The man of God revealed that at the point when they thought they had a breakthrough, his wife suffered miscarriage which nearly took her life.
This was when they were traveling between different countries preaching the word of God.
In the hospital in London, he said, the doctors proposed the removal of the uterus, which he and his brother John Sentamu (now retired archbishop of York in England) opposed.
Looking back at this time of struggle, Kayanja said he could not help giving praise to God.
“When I watched (Jessica) dancing with our son today, many memories were coming back. I wish that every mother would have a chance to dance with her son like this,” he said.

On her part, Mrs Kayanja beseeched his son never to forget his roots as a born of a God-serving family.
“You must remember the rock from which you were built,” she said.
“You are an altar baby; we prayed, we fasted, and believed God to have you. You know that whatever is born of God is sustained by God. Your father and I wouldn’t be where we were if it wasn't for spiritual warfare.”
Meanwhile, First Lady, Mrs Janet Kataaha Museveni, who was represented by Lands Minister Judith Nabakooba, called on the new couple to maintain their marriage on God’s foundation.

“Only biblically modeled marriages can foster healthy relationships that swim against the tide of societal standards,” Mrs. Museveni counseled in a written message.
The ceremony was also graced by Kenyan First Lady Mrs. Rachel Ruto and a host of leaders from government and religious institutions.
