Manrick, who is dating Gashumba's daughter, Sheilah, said that the photo that showed him humbling himself before Gashumba was edited.
The photo was taken on February 6 during the launch of Gash Luxe – a shopping lounge, makeup & content studio, and mini-bar located at Clement Hill in Kampala. It is owned by Sheilah.
He also noted that he always exchanges cordial pleasantries with Gashumba whenever they met.
"I respect parents a lot... there is not a single day I've ever met Mr. Frank Gashumba and he doesn't greet me, or I don't greet him," said Manrick in a video seen by this reporter.
Manrick claimed that it's the media that wants to assume there's a rift between the two.
On the photo, he said: "For instance, that photo, that shop doesn't have those... pillars; someone edited it."
The Tunyumirwe hitmaker said he and Gashumba were in different places during the event.
"The person who edited the photo was too good, a king of Photoshop," he said.
Manrick's portrayal of the media's depiction of his relationship with Frank Gashumba is a quite unfounded, considering the latter has been recorded several times showing his contempt for him
"Nonsense. Nonsense. Rubbish," Gashumba said recently when he was told the Manrick has plans of marrying Sheilah.
"One day they found me at a restaurant in Nsambya, he was with that rascal and his father, his ears and nose were pierced, with hair that looked like Kony's [Joseph Kony is the founder of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA)]. You bring such people to me, Gashumba? Even if I'm dead," Gashumba said in an audio that leaked in January.
However, the singer has also said that he is not planning to get married any time soon.
