Lydia Jazmine reveals 'a guy' contributed Shs30 million to her Mercedes Benz

Jazmine, who acquired a Benz on her 31st birthday in 2022, revealed this while appearing on KIIS FM Uganda on Thursday, September 14 where she was hosted by Kella Mckenzie.

She said the guy, whose name she didn't reveal, is a lover of Ugandan music and there were no strings attached. She said he had previously supported many other artistes.

The Masuuka hitmaker made the revelation when McKenzie asked her the biggest gift she has ever received from a fan. She also revealed that there is a time she went to South Sudan and collected about Shs5 million from fans while on stage.

When Jazmine acquired the Benz, some rumours claimed that she had been gifted by her former manager Ronnie Mulindwa. Speaking to KIIS FM, she said she bought it using her own money.

Who is Lydia Jazmine?

Jazmine, who hails from Mukono is of Rwandan descent, and she went to Nagalama Preparatory School and Victoria Nile School in Jinja, before joining Margaret S.S. in Bombo in S.1, then City Land College in Matugga. 

Her parents divorced when she was six, so she was partly raised by her aunt and her single mother. 

She grew up loving music, then exposure grew when she joined Multitech Business School where she studied business management and administration.

She used to sing in bands, and choir when she was young.

She met her first manager Bushingtone while working as a backup artiste for Radio and Weasel. At the time their manager was Jeff Kiwanuka.

When Jeff broke up with Radio & Weasel, he took on the management of Sheebah Karungi and Jasmine started working under Bushingtone.

You Know, her duet with Rabadaba, was her breakthrough song.
